Steve Lesser

Steve Lesser is veteran stand up, sketch, and improv comedian - reluctantly betraying his age by acknowledging 28 years of comedy experience. In a world of division, Steve's style is comfortable and reverent to both serious and the silliest of topics.

Steve is a mishmash of experiences. He is a father (of 3), husband (of 1), scientist (of many), corporate leader (a dime a dozen), and friend (to many (foe to few)). These experiences and life-observations are the source of his comedy all packaged in a relatable, engaging manner - delivered with a crowd-pleasing, comfortable, likable stage presence.

Steve started as an improv comedian with Comedy Sportz where he was performer, instructor, and artistic director. Since then he has performed sketch comedy with Wikimedians, No F in Sketch, 500-lb Monster, Jocularity Brothers and others. And when it comes to stand up, he has performed from Las Vegas to Dublin, Ireland. While he likes sketch and stand up writing, he revels in the performances and can brag an impressive 4500 performance credits over his comedy career. He also is a founder of of The Idiot Box Comedy Club, Producer of the North Carolina Comedy Festival

Steve has been a repeat performer at the NC Comedy Festival, the NC Comedy Arts Festival, Queen City Festival and was chosen to open for some of the most notable comedians of today, including Todd Barry, Todd Glass, Shane Mauss and Jay Pharoah.
